and Alexei are in 2nd place after the short program at the
Grand Prix Final in Beijing, China.
November 20, 2004 - Maria and Alexei have qualified
for the Grand Prix Final for the sixth consecutive season.
November 5, 2004 - Maria and Alexei won the free
program capturing the gold at NHK Trophy for the second
straight year.
November 4, 2004 - Maria and Alexei won the short
program at NHK Trophy. Maria is rested from her injury and
illness. They have been working on side-by-side triple salchows
(according to a report on Figure
Skating Universe), but are not planning to attempt them
in their free program at this event. The Turkish
Press has an article regarding the short program results
with quotes from Maria and Alexei.
Results from the free skate will be available on
the NHK
Results page. Masha and Alexei will skate last of 9
teams.
November 1, 2004 - After withdrawing from Skate
America due to injury, Maria and Alexei will now focus on
competing in Japan this week at NHK Trophy.
