There were 2 parts in this event, a competition followed by an exhibition. The competition opposed team france to team world. Team world was composed of: Alexander Abt, Stephane Lambiel, Yoshie Onda, Lobacheva/Averbukh, Drobiazko/Vanagas and team france of: Brian Joubert, Stanick Jeannette, Anne-Sophie Calvez, Delobel/Schoenfelder, Anissina/Peizerat. Povilas and Gwendal were the captains of each team. Each team had a joker ie they could choose one of their members to double their points. Povilas said in French (!!!) with quite a good accent actually that Yoshie Onda was their joker. Margarita & Povilas skated on their "Egypt" program. It was awesome though they had a little fall on their so amazing lift when Povilas slides on the ice on his back. In the end, it's the team world who won over team france (a well deserved victory): 470 to 370. There was something quite fun in the competition: the fact that everytime a member of team world was skating near the kiss & cry area where all the others were sitting , they were all supporting him/her by screaming "Go, Go Go !!!". Since Povilas was the captain he received the cup.

Then there was the exhibition where Rita & Povilas skating on a new program I had never seen before. Margarita was wearing a dark dress. As usual it was an excellent program and at the end of it they perflectly made the lift they had failed in the competition. The music was great but we don't really remember what it was, some kind of techno music. Unfortunately, we couldn't take pictures of this program because of a little problem with our camera.

After the end of the show, we went outside where the skaters were going out of the arena. And we finally see Margarita and Povilas with the cup. They kindly signed our banner and when we asked them for a picture with them, Povilas nicely asked us if we wanted to hold the cup and we said YES and got those great pictures!!! They were very nice with us and seemed happy of the show!
