| Margarita and Povilas have
been chosen the most popular couple in Lithuania! On October
16, 2006, Lithuanian TV aired the show "Top 10",
which presented the 10 most well-known Lithuanian couples,
including Margarita and Povilas as well as such celebrities as
pop stars, politicians and musicians. Among them the most
popular was chosen, based on an online voting held on a
Lithuanian website. When the results were announced, it turned out that Margarita and Povilas received a record number of votes and they WON! Our congratulations to the Most Popular Couple in Lithuania and great thanks to everyone who voted for Margarita and Povilas online! |

| In spring 2000, after Rita and Povilas won the first European Figure Skating Championship medal (bronze) for Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus, who was the president of Lithuania then, rewarded them both with the 4th degree Gedeminas order, which is considered to be the most significant award for nondefense citizens of Lithuania (photo by Dzojos Gundos Barysaites). |  |

In March 1999, Rita and Povilas skated in the television production of "Winter Solstice on Ice". Susanna Rahkamo and Petri Kokko were the creators of the show. Other soloists included Brian Boitano, Alexander Abt, Mandy Woetzel and Ingo Steuer, Yuka Sato and Jason Dungjen. | |
